1. Adaptation: Any characteristic that helps a plant or animal survive
2. Stimuli: Anything that prompts a response or action
3. Season: One of the four natural divisions of the year: spring, summer, fall, and winter
4. Hibernation: when an animal goes into a deep sleep for a long period of time
5. Migration: The long distance movement of animals from one place to another
6. Plant: a living thing that gets its energy from the sun and it's unable to move from place to place on its own
7. Animal: A living thing that moves from place to place and gets energy from food
